Initial Writting Assignment- Brittney Hammer

I am a Speech Pathology major. My job will consist of working with people and helping them talk better. For instance if someone had a stroke they would come to me and get speech therapy. I think this class will benefit me a lot in the future. First, when I graduate I will have to find a job and after taking this course I will be able to make a professional resume. With my profession I will have paperwork and documents so the skills I learn in here can also be applied to that as well.
I will write on the job because one I will have paperwork to do and also documents to keep on my patients. During therapy secessions it would be smart of me to take notes on how my patient is doing, whether he or she is improving or not. Then I would need to make a detailed professional report. I will mainly be writing for myself, patients, or maybe other people who need documentation on my patient/client. In my career I can expect a lot of different audiences. Someone might come to me if English is a second language and they need help on pronunciation. Someone from the deaf culture may also come to me for therapy. Parents may bring there child to me who has a disability.
